Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd (ATMSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad, will be hosting a special Media Preview for the launch the China-made AUMAN Heavy Duty Trucks in Malaysia as follows:
AUMAN Heavy Duty Trucks are manufactured by Beiqi Foton Motor Co. Ltd of China. Beiqi Foton Motor manufactures a wide-range of product including Light and Heavy-Duty Trucks, Buses, and Light Commercial vehicles. According to Beiqi Foton Motor, in 2011, the company registered sales of more than 640,000 vehicles.
In Malaysia, ATMSB is the exclusive distributor of the wide range of AUMAN Trucks and Buses.
The new HINO 300 Series (Light Commercial Vehicle) features the first full automatic transmission gear to be installed in the light commercial vehicle. This reflects HINO’s commitment in developing world-class solutions for the new generation of light commercial vehicles with priorities on safety and comfortable driving, quality, reliability and durability of the vehicles.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Nobuyuki Tanaka, Managing Director of Hino Motors (M) Sdn Bhd, said, “We are indeed very proud to introduce the new 300 Series, following its successful launch in Japan in June 2011. We are also pleased to announce that Hino is the first to introduce a fully automatic transmission model in the light commercial vehicle category in Malaysia. This makes HINO the first and only Japanese truck company to install automatic transmission in its trucks."
Fuso 2015 growth strategy – Leader in green innovation
In its efforts to optimize total cost of ownership and reduce CO2 emissions by 7.5 percent, Fuso aims to be a leader in fuel efficiency and green innovation. This claim is based on one of the five pillars of the Fuso 2015 growth strategy, with which Fuso aims to double international sales to 200,000 units annually over the medium-term. With a distribution reach to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines and Taiwan the new facility will provide commercial vehicle axle-brake-driveline-suspension parts – under the Meritor, TruckTechnic and Gabriel brands - to over 18 distributors in the region, along with thousands of end-user truck operators.
“Our global experience with serving our customers has enabled us to incorporate many advancements in this new distribution center complete with offices, training center, warehouse and new Oracle ERP system, as well as trained associates in efficient packaging and distribution,” said Eike Torsten Merz, Managing Director, Aftermarket & Trailer Asia Pacific, Meritor. “Our speed-to-customers in Asia Pacific will improve dramatically, as well as our ample critical-parts inventory to meet all truck-tractor-trailer service parts demands.”

Beijing – On February 18, Daimler and its Chinese partner Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. held a festive ceremony to celebrate the reception of the business license for the joint venture Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. To commemorate this event, the partners unveiled a plaque in Beijing bearing the official name of the joint venture, which will operate from the Foton Auman facility in Beijing’s Huairou district.
“By founding BFDA, we have taken another step forward in the global growth strategy of Daimler Trucks, as well as the local expansion of our product portfolio in China: Our 50 percent stake in Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive will enable us to play a major role in the Chinese truck market and give us access to the attractive volume segment,” stated Andreas Renschler, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Daimler Trucks and Daimler Buses. “With this joint venture now fully operational, we’re sending out a clear signal that we deliver on what we promise in developing Daimler Trucks’ worldwide strategy.”
