Scania trucks now come with industry-leading 3-year warranty with unlimited mileage plus 3-year Scania Assistance and 10-year Scania Fleet Management for the best Total Operating Economy
Scania is the first to introduce an enhanced and industry-leading 3-year warranty with unlimited mileage together with 3-year Scania Assistance and 10-year Scania Fleet Management for its trucks sold in Malaysia effective 15 March 2018.
The 3-year warranty comprises of 1-year full warranty and 2-year extended warranty on driveline only. The previous offer had only 1 year of full warranty. Together with this new enhanced warranty, Scania has also increased its offering of free Scania Assistance from 2 years to 3 years and continues to offer the 10 years of free Scania Fleet Management.
Shell is seeing a potential liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply shortage developing in mid-2020’s, unless new LNG production project commitments are made soon.
This is based on current demand projections, where the global LNG market continues to exceed expectations of many market observers, with demand growing by 29 million tonnes to 293 million tonnes in 2017, according to Shell’s annual LNG Outlook.
Transport and logistic providers in Malaysia welcomed with open hands the decision by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore to revise toll charges for vehicles entering and leaving the republic via the Woodlands Checkpoint effective 1st February 2018. Toll charges for vehicles entering the Republic through Woodlands checkpoint will be removed, while all vehicles (except motorcycles) leaving Singapore via Woodlands will see reduced charges.

In 2019 Volvo Trucks will start selling electric trucks in Europe, and the first units will be put into operation together with selected reference customers already this year. Electric trucks drastically reduce noise and exhaust emissions and open up for new ways to manage logistics. More transport assignments can be carried out at night and fewer trucks need to compete for road space during rush-hour.
